The solution to all your PCB assembly problems is available with the easiplace manufacturing system. A unique computer based process that saves hours on assembly time by accurately locating component positions for hand placement.

Easiplace requires no programming or teaching and will rapidly show where to place every component in a precise and repeatable sequence.

The screen details all the information relating to each component, including value, part number, orientation and assembly notes to guide the operator while viewing images of the bare board for component location.

Additional drawings, PDF / images or text files can be accessed during the process providing more information to the operator.

A change in component value is automatically signalled to the operator to select the next "bin" for use, zoom levels can be set for each type of component, ensuring an accurate and repeatable assembly.

A foot pedal controls the sequence allowing both hands free for component handling and accurate placement. The operator can step through the assembly process, or if preferred, use a semi-automatic sequence for each component type.

Using your CAD data and an image file, supplied by DCB Automation initially from a scanned PCB image, the simple import facility will provide all the necessary component details for the assembly process. Additional manufacturing information in the form of images, pdf or word documents can be generated, and held within a library, to be used with each type of component.

Easiplace is ideal for SM, through hole and mixed technology assemblies, prototype and low quantity manufacture replacing workstations and other assembly aids. Board images are saved for future use.

Details of the assembly are recorded including component placement times and overall time to assemble the PCB. An optional software module will provide a cost analysis, based on average component placement timings, providing budget costs against a parts list for new assemblies.
